Lynch’s acting was rather disappointing

His performance was very one-dimensional, which unfortunately stood out in a cast full of strong, nuanced performances. It’s not a racial issue: I can think of several brilliant black actresses who could have brought more depth and complexity to the role.

It’s certainly not perfect, but it deserves attention

It was just that his performance didn’t match the overall quality of the show, which was disappointing. Still, the show is worth watching for its story and the outstanding performances of the other cast members.
