Scenario

After a humiliating incident at their elite school, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. It will be the third attempt to create a TV series based on the world of The Cruel Namjere (1999). The direct-to-video sequel Cruel Namjere 2 (2000), in which Amy Adams replaced Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being turned into a feature film. Gellar later reprized her role as Kathryn in the 2016 NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
